24 Days of Christmas - The Muppets Christmas Carol

I know what you’re thinking…”The Muppets Christmas Carol wasn’t made for television. It was a theatrical film.”
Tonight, you could have tuned into two theatrical films that have evolved into annual airings during the holidays: The Polar Express on ABC Family, and Elf on USA. Tomorrow, TNT has me appalled by their scheduling of A Christmas Story. I realize you borrowed it from your big brother TBS, but it still isn’t right to me for that to air before the 24 hour marathon on Christmas.
But I digress….
There have been approximately fifty-two zillion interpretations of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol on the small and big screen. The best part about this one, besides the mandatory screwball antics you expect from the Muppets, is having Michael Caine starring as Scrooge. There is something very rockstar about having an Oscar winning actor playing straight man to the Muppets and getting to recite lines like, “it’s Fozziwig’s Rubber Chicken Factory!”
Haven’t found it on the schedule according to Tivo yet, but I’ll keep my eyes peeled for you!
